Your body has always known.

Maybe you just haven't yet found the space to listen.

Psychotherapy for women with a history of trauma and emotional overload, with an individualised approach that respects the pace of each person’s process.

A space to listen to what the mind tells and what the body still holds.

I’m Carolina Fagundes, a clinical psychologist, systemic family and couples therapist and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. Since 2017, I’ve supported people living with intense emotional pain, relationship conflict and the marks of traumatic experiences.

My way of working brings together talking, the body and expressive tools, because not everything we feel can be reached through words alone. Each process is shaped around the story, the moment and the limits of each person who comes to me.

I especially welcome women who had to take on, too early, the role of the one who looks after everyone and fixes everything, and who today repeat that pattern in dysfunctional relationships, always being the one who carries everything emotionally. I help these women understand the traumatic roots of these patterns, reclaim their own voice and boundaries, and build more balanced, secure partnerships.

Psychologist trained at PUC-Rio, with training in Systemic Family and Couples Therapy, Cognitive Sexual Therapy and Somatic Experiencing®. Currently completing a postgraduate degree in Art Therapy, and co-author of a publication on adolescence, socio-education and human rights.

More than 100 people

have been supported by me through processes related to traumatic experiences, relationship conflict and self-knowledge.

Every story calls for its own kind of care.

Talking

The first step is listening to you and understanding what brought you here.

Body

Through Somatic Experiencing®, we notice sensations, responses and signals that are also part of your experience.

Expression

When it makes sense for the process, expressive tools can help you reach and communicate what is still hard to put into words.

The work respects your story, your limits and your pace.

You don't have to keep trying to figure everything out on your own.

Maybe you learned to endure, to look after others and to keep going, even when your body was asking for a pause. Therapy can help you look at your own story with support, recognise your limits and try new ways of relating to yourself and to other people.

If you feel the time has come to begin, this space is yours!
